Present, Sir H. Rumbold, Bn de Wassenaer van Rosande, Ct E. de Limburg Stirum, Ct H. Du Monceau, Bn Groeninx van Zoelen, Bn Thierry de Pallandt and
M.M.M. Pauw van Wildrecht and des Graz.

Sir H. Rumbold was elected Honorary President.

The subscription for ladies joining alone and gentlemen fixed at 12 fl.

The subscription for daughters or wives of members 6 fl.
Temporary members, non residents of the Hague 5 fl. a month

Present Bns de Brienen, de Wassenaer, T. de Pallandt, E. de Stirum, H. Du Monceau and C. des Graz.

St. Andrew’s Golf Club rules adopted. Decided that quorum of 3 made a Committee.

Weekly members.
Members may put down any person’s name for one week in the year for 2 fl. 50 for which member responsible.

A draft of proposed rules of club to be prepared by the Secretary, submitted to Committee and then laid before General Meeting of Club.

April 21, 1893

Committee meeting, all present except Bn de Brienen and E de Stirum. Lockers put up to be bought for duration of membership for 4 Fl.

August, 1893

Committee meeting, [present] Bn. Groeninx, H. Du Monceau, C. des Graz.
J. Dunn to come over, journey paid and 1 pound a week, to give lessons or play rounds from September 11.
Circular sent to members on Dunn’s arrival Sept. 11.

September 11, 1893

Committee meeting, [present] Bn de Brienen, H. Du Monceau, C. des Graz. R. Schurbeeque Boeye and Ct J. de Bylandt elected yearly members.

September 27, 1893

Committee meeting, all present except Bn de Wassenaer. Decided to hold 3 prize meetings.

October 7 single handicaps ladies and gentlemen October 14 championships } October 21 foursomes

Handicap Committee to consist of Bn Groeninx, Du Monceau and des Graz. Bn de Brienen proposed insuring house for 1000 fl. Agreed to.

Circular to be sent to members to inform them of dates of prize meetings and conditions.

New members elected Jonkheer R. Boreel and Mme Boreel. Monthly members Mr W.O. Burt, Miss Needham.

Dates of 2nd and 3rd meetings subsequently changed by Committee to [October] 12th and 19th and circular amended accordingly.

Caddies not to wait for any particular person, if member already on ground desires their services.
Tips of 1 fl. a piece to Jan, Koos and Piet for manuring cows.
Question of heating house discussed and purchase of stove sanctioned.

October 4, 1893

[Committee meeting], present, Bn de Brienen, Bn Groeninx, H. Clifford, H. Du Monceau, C. des Graz.

1. Decided to take adjoining piece of ground belonging to tenant of Ct C. de Bylandt on payment or present of 10 or 12 fl. yearly. Mr. Clifford to endeavor to obtain recognition or lease of land for H.G.C.

2. Bn de Brienen having offered to let the Club have a new house near centre of course for workman’s rent. 2 fl. a week, the Committee decided to look at the house on Saturday and [to] form their opinion.

October 4-7, 1893

Handicap Committee had several meetings to consider entries and make arrangements.
Date of entries for handicaps October 7 postponed, on account of bad weather until the 6th.

October 7, 1893

Committee meeting, present Bn de Brienen, Groeninx etc. to elect Ld Rumbold as yearly member and C. Yorke Esq. as monthly member.

Melle de Struve and Revd. J. H. Ratford elected yearly members.

November 8, 1893

Committee meeting, present Bns de Brienen, Groeninx, Ct H. Du Monceau, H. Clifford and C. des Graz.

Proposal to build new club house on spot nearer present links mooted. Expediency of plan, and advantages recognized.
Decide that members of committee should ascertain from form various members interested in the game whether they would be prepared to take 50 fl. shares bearing 4% interest – one or two shares to be refunded annually if club funds should permit it –.
When the amount promised would be known, question of kind of house and further arrangements to be settled.

December 29, 1893

Hon. M. Herbert, G. Rumbold, Vincent de Tuyll, Mlle Van Haeften elected yearly members.
W. Rumbold elected monthly member.

Committee meeting, all present.

House.
Actual promised subscriptions 13-1400 florins.
Proposed plan of house having been, since last meeting, submitted to 3 architects whose estimates proved too expensive for funds in hand, that plan of house entirely abandoned unanimously.

  

Proposal or restatement, that a club house, if not necessary, would by highly advantageous to interests of club was carried.
Ct E. de Stirum requested to invite tender for house for sum of about 1300 to 1400 florins. Committee to see plans offered when ready.
The principle that no club money beyond 4% interest – and refunding of shares if possible – should be employed – reaffirmed.
Messrs Clifford and des Graz resigned, by lot from committee for 1894. Others to retire in following rotation; Bn de Pallandt and Bn Groeninx, Cts Du Monceau and E. de Stirum, Bns de Wassenaer and de Brienen.
Weekly Payment of caddies carried – during 6 winter months Nov. 1 – May 1. Decided that payment should be 2 fl. a week (by 5-2).
Decided to fee the club carriage coachman 10 florins.
The Committee further decided that all “full” members of the club elected after Jan. 1, 1894 should pay 6 florins entrance fee.
Mme Van der Staal van Piershil was elected an honorary member of the club.

General Meeting December 29, 1893

Present Committee with exception of Mr Clifford.
Retiring members of committee Messrs Clifford and des Graz unanimously re-elected.
The Treasurer’s accounts for the year were audited by Bn Groeninx and Ct de Stirum.

House.
Proposal to pay 4% on shares of money fl. 50 advanced carried as also repayment of one or two whole shares, according to state of club funds.
